What is GetCoordinates.online and how does it work?
GetCoordinates.online is a web application you can use directly from your browser, on both your desktop computer and mobile device. Its intuitive interface lets you:
- Easily Create Points: Simply click or tap the map to mark locations and get their coordinates instantly.
- Add Descriptions: Each point you create can have a customizable description, making it easy to organize your information.
- Clear Visualization: Each point is represented by a black pin on the map. When selected, it changes to a striking orange color to indicate it's active.
- Data Persistence: Your points and the map view are automatically saved in your browser (thanks to IndexedDB technology). This means that if you don't clear your cache, you'll find your data and map exactly as you left them in your last session.
- Manage Points: You can select and delete points whenever you no longer need them.
- Coordinates at Your Fingertips: When you select a pin, its coordinates appear in a button at the bottom of the screen. A simple click allows you to copy them to your clipboard, ready for use in other applications.
- Standard Export: Export your entire collection of points, including their descriptions, latitudes, and longitudes, in GeoJSON format – a widely used GIS industry standard that ensures compatibility and easy exchange.
